This Privacy Policy explains how Budgefy (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects personal information when you visit budgefy.co.uk, email us, or use the Budgefy app once it is available.

Information we collect
Depending on how you use Budgefy, we may process:
- Contact details you send us, such as your email address and the contents of a message to contact@budgefy.app.
- Technical data that our hosting provider may log automatically, such as IP address, browser type, date and time of the request, and the page requested. We use this to keep the site running and secure.
- App data once the Budgefy app launches — for example an account email, expenses you log, receipt photos you scan, categories you set, and device information needed to run the app.
We do not currently run advertising pixels or third-party analytics on this website. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which may collect technical data as described in Google’s own privacy policy.

We process this information under UK GDPR. Typical legal bases are: taking steps at your request before a contract, performing a contract with you, our legitimate interests in running a secure product, and consent where we ask for it.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with service providers who host the website or, later, the app (for example hosting and email delivery), and only as needed to provide the service. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Emails are kept as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up. Hosting logs are typically retained for a short period for security. App data will be kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards if we need it for legal or security reasons.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to access, correct, delete, or restrict your personal data, object to certain processing, and (where applicable) receive a copy of data you provided. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. To exercise your rights, email contact@budgefy.app.
Children
Budgefy is not directed at children under 16. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us so we can delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product grows. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do.
Do not sell or share my information
Budgefy does not sell personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. If you want to confirm this for your own records, or ask us to limit how we use your data, email contact@budgefy.app.

These terms govern your use of the Budgefy website at budgefy.co.uk and, once it is available, the Budgefy mobile app. By using the site or app, you agree to these terms.
The service
Budgefy is an expense tracker and receipt scanner. The website is a marketing and information site. The app is launching soon and is not yet available on the App Store or Google Play. Features described on the site may change before or after launch.
Content on this website is for general information. It is not personal financial, tax, or legal advice.
Your responsibilities
- Use the site and app lawfully and in good faith
- Do not attempt to disrupt, scrape excessively, or reverse engineer the service
- Keep any account credentials confidential once accounts exist
- Make sure you have the right to upload receipts or other content you add
Intellectual property
The Budgefy name, logo, website design, and app content belong to us or our licensors. You may not copy or reuse them except as allowed by law or with our written permission. You keep ownership of expense data and receipts you provide; you give us a licence to process them so we can run the service.
Availability
We try to keep the site available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may change, pause, or withdraw parts of the service.
Liability
The website is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss arising from use of the site, reliance on its content, or unavailability. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited under English law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that you may also bring a claim in your local courts if consumer law gives you that right.
