This Privacy Policy explains how Budgefy (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects personal information when you visit budgefy.co.uk, email us, or use the Budgefy app once it is available.

Information we collect
Depending on how you use Budgefy, we may process:
- Contact details you send us, such as your email address and the contents of a message to contact@budgefy.app.
- Technical data that our hosting provider may log automatically, such as IP address, browser type, date and time of the request, and the page requested. We use this to keep the site running and secure.
- App data once the Budgefy app launches — for example an account email, expenses you log, receipt photos you scan, categories you set, and device information needed to run the app.
We do not currently run advertising pixels or third-party analytics on this website. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which may collect technical data as described in Google’s own privacy policy.
How we use information
- To operate and improve the website and, when launched, the Budgefy app
- To reply when you contact us
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse
- To meet legal obligations
We process this information under UK GDPR. Typical legal bases are: taking steps at your request before a contract, performing a contract with you, our legitimate interests in running a secure product, and consent where we ask for it.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with service providers who host the website or, later, the app (for example hosting and email delivery), and only as needed to provide the service. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Emails are kept as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up. Hosting logs are typically retained for a short period for security. App data will be kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards if we need it for legal or security reasons.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to access, correct, delete, or restrict your personal data, object to certain processing, and (where applicable) receive a copy of data you provided. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. To exercise your rights, email contact@budgefy.app.
Children
Budgefy is not directed at children under 16. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us so we can delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product grows. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do.
Do not sell or share my information
Budgefy does not sell personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. If you want to confirm this for your own records, or ask us to limit how we use your data, email contact@budgefy.app.
Cookie Policy
This site is static HTML. We do not set our own advertising or analytics cookies, and there is currently no cookie banner because we do not use optional tracking cookies.
Pages load fonts from Google Fonts. Google may process technical data (such as IP address) when your browser requests those files. See Google’s privacy policy for details. Your browser may also store ordinary technical data needed to display the site.
Cookie settings: there are no optional Budgefy cookies to turn on or off at the moment. You can still block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If we add analytics or similar tools later, we will update this page and provide a real choice where the law requires it.
